If you want to keep your windows open while sleeping, then do not be afraid of mosquito’s (Tioman mosquitos are non-malarial), you are also provided with the mosquito nets. The chalets do not want to cut you off from the nature as you are on the island to experience nature at its raw stage, therefore, you will only find ceiling fans in rooms, as rooms do not have air conditions.

Facilities

All rooms and chalets have fans, attached bathroom with cold water, and mosquito netting. The attached baths only have cold water, but have all the basic necessities. The Bamboo Hill Chalets also have an amazing lending library where you can exchange books on reception. The library has various books on the flora and fauna of Tioman Island along with the brochures that informs about places to visit in Malaysia. They have their own water purifier and they provide free bottles of purified Tioman spring water to all of its guests.  The accommodation rates range from RM 90 to RM140 (Malaysian Ringgits).

Bamboo Hill Chalets also take care of your appetite and health. The Nazri’s and ABC’s restaurant are located right next door. They serve local and western dishes at low cost with beers and fresh fruit juices. Both restaurants open up at 8am for breakfast and also offer fresh fish barbecues in the evenings for a lavish and steamy dinner.
